Why advertised volume is not the whole aquarium
Substrate, hardscape, an air gap and glass thickness reduce real water volume. More importantly, a 60 cm swim length cannot be exchanged for extra height when a species needs horizontal movement or floor territory.
Stock in stages
Cycle the aquarium first, add one social group at a time and confirm feeding, waste processing and behaviour before the next addition. Keep quarantine and separation options available.
